Yes! Those were the days and, as I recall, not only the days when 'dad' took his little girl's knickers down, mother also took her little boy's trousers down and put him across her knee to smack his bare bottom briskly! I remember it with delight, nothing quite like it, believe me, nothing quite like a tingling bottom!
